How to Submit a Feature Request
To submit a feature request:
- Visit the Feature Requests page in your Total account.
- Log in with the account associated with your Total license if prompted.
- Click the Submit request button.
- Add a clear title that summarizes your idea.
- Describe the feature you would like to see added and explain how it would improve your workflow.
- Submit your request for review.
Once submitted, your request will be reviewed by our team before it becomes publicly visible. After approval, it will appear as a feature request where other Total users can view, vote, and provide feedback on the idea.
Before Submitting a Request
Before creating a new request, please search the existing feature requests. If someone has already suggested the same idea, voting for the existing request helps us better understand which features are most valuable to the community.
How We Evaluate Feature Requests
Every request is evaluated and considered, but not every suggestion will be added to Total.
When evaluating requests, we consider:
- How useful the feature would be for the wider community.
- The number of users requesting or voting for the idea.
- Compatibility with Total’s existing features and architecture.
- Performance and maintenance considerations.
- Development priorities.
Bugs vs. Feature Requests
If something is not working correctly or you believe there is a bug, please submit a support ticket or bug report instead via your Total user portal.
Feature requests are intended for new functionality or improvements to existing features.
Keep Expectations Realistic
Submitting a feature request does not guarantee that it will be implemented or included in a future update. Some requests may be declined because they are too specific, conflict with the direction of Total, or would introduce unnecessary complexity.
